Mr. Yuri Ravinsky, head of the Moscow Sports Association, presents an Appreciation Award to David N. Young in Moscow following the conclusion of the high school basketball games between an American team, coordinated by David Young and Kent Schexnayder, head basketball coach of St. Amant High School. The basketball exchange promoted cultural exhange between youths of high school age and brought thousands of spectators and kids alike as the teams played a series of games in Moscow followed by a series of games in Louisiana. The Soviet/American High School Basketball exchange produced a spirit of coooperation during the height of the Cold War between the U.S. and the Soviet Union.
